Capturing 100 years of American automotive history.
Gateway Canyons Auto Museum houses the privately owned Hendricks Collection.
One might not expect to find a classic car museum in a remote corner of Colorado. But for John Hendricks, one love – car collecting – found a perfect match with another love, Gateway Canyons.
Gateway Canyons Auto Museum
Featured among rare and historic automobiles at the Gateway Canyons Auto Museum is the 1954 Oldsmobile F-88 concept car.
Filled with pristine examples of American automotive art, The Gateway Canyons Auto Museum is devoted to understanding and celebrating the history, design and social impact of the American automobile. It features nearly 60 of the most prized and impeccably preserved historic cars in the country displayed in a unique gallery setting.
The presentation includes the one-of-a-kind 1954 Oldsmobile F-88 concept car, considered a rare American icon. Hendricks purchased this classic car in 2005, after intense auction bidding, for $3.25 million. The collection is comprised of significant automobiles that capture 100 years of American automotive history, beginning with the 1906 Cadillac Model H Coupe and including Duesenberg, Auburn, Cord, and Cunningham marques alongside rare models from Packard, Cadillac, Pierce Arrow and others."
