Horseback Riding

Stables is open daily from 9:00am – 5:00pm

Our experienced guides will take you on an exploration of the base of the Uncompahgre Plateau, the surrounding picturesque desert and red rock canyons. Both beginners and advanced riders are sure to enjoy the ride.

Riding lessons are available for both beginners and those with horseback riding experience. For a truly unique lesson in horsemanship, The Stables’ instructors can teach you how to handle, harness, and hook up two Belgian geldings and then drive the wagon.

Our Stables team can also provide equine-centered personal or professional development programs. If you are looking for a special celebration for your kids, we host birthday parties that include pony cart rides, trail riding, and horse painting.

The Stables are open to all Gateway Canyons guests who want to discover our Colorado horseback riding trails. Contact the Adventure Center to reserve your saddle.
