Zebulon Miracle – The Curator of Curiosity

Zebulon Miracle is the Curator of Curiosity for Gateway Canyons Resort & Spa, located in the stunning canyon country at the foot of the Uncompahgre Plateau. The mission of the Curator of Curiosity is to enable guests and visitors to see, hear and experience first hand, the natural and man-made wonders of western Colorado. Zebulon is uniquely qualified to guide curious guests on fascinating journeys of both history and geology. A native of western Colorado with History and Anthropology degrees from the University of Colorado at Boulder, Zebulon comes to Gateway after serving as Curator of Anthropology, Collections Manager and Curator of Cross Orchards Historic Site at the Museum of Western Colorado.

Zebulon’s passion is connecting people with the lands, cultures, history, and heritage of the American Southwest. He has guided numerous tours domestically and internationally but Zebulon’s focus on Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Arizona, and New Mexico has allowed hundreds to marvel at the cultural history of places such as Chaco Culture National Historical Park, Mesa Verde National Park, Canyon de Chelly National Monument, and dozens of rock art sites. Closer to Gateway, Zebulon has worked with historic preservation projects at Calamity Camp (a National Register of Historic Places-listed uranium camp), the Hanging Flume (a site that has been recognized by the World Monument Fund), and Driggs Mansion on the Uncompahgre-Tabeguche Scenic Byway.
